7 Videos That Will Blow Your Mindfulness
5. The Eight-year-old Kid Dropping Knowledge About the Pineal Gland
Do you know about the pineal glad? It’s that sacred spot in your brain that is supposed to be the nucleus of human essence. It’s what is often referred to as the ‘third eye.’ It’s this little thing in your brain that’s shaped like a pine cone. In fact, there have been ancient drawings found that depict our ancestors and their sacred pine cones. How did they know about it when even modern science can explain its function?
About a year ago, I stumbled upon this video of King Nahh, a very awake young man who knows exactly what the pineal is and he also had a few things to say about cultural brainwashing.
6. The Science of Sleep
Dreams are a mystery. Why sleep exists is a mystery. But Professor Matthew Walker gives some insight on the importance of sleep and the science behind it. The best part is that it is explained on the popular podcast The Joe Rogan Experience.
I had to listen to this in parts because there is so much interesting information. It’s one of those topics that has to be digested slowly, let all that information sink in.
Joe Rogan is perhaps one of the best interviewers out there. As a journalist, I appreciate that he’s not pretentious. And he asks the right questions and it’s more of a conversation than an interview.
7. How the Aztecs Changed the World
Being of Latin American descent, I am fascinated with my Aztec and Mayan ancestors. Like the Egyptians and Sumerians, these civilizations carried the knowledge of our origins and of the great beyond. With the invasion of the Spanish, Portuguese and other European armies, and the conversion to Christianity, the knowledge was dismissed or destroyed.
In these troubled times, I think we are waking up to the reality that the material world is not the real one. That we have been lied to.
The history of the Aztecs is diverse, violent and eye-opening. Yes, they were violent. But they also possessed a brilliancy in mathematics and architecture. When Hernán Cortés visited Tenochtitlan, he later wrote about his amazement at how advanced these people were. They were not the barbarians in the history books, but a civilized nation.
This is a fascinating documentary, partly narrated by RoboCop himself, Peter Weller.

First of all I would like to say awesome blog! I had a
quick question in which I’d like to ask if you do not mind.
I was curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your
head before writing. I’ve had a hard time clearing my mind
in getting my thoughts out. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually
wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin. Any recommendations or hints?
Cheers!
Thank you for that. I appreciate the feedback. I don’t think there is a one-size-fits-all approach to writing. And for me, it varies. I try not to force it, to just let the process flow naturally. I have a journal and I am constantly writing ideas, not necessarily poems or stories, just thoughts that pop in my head that might manifest themselves later as complete pieces. It does take discipline. You can develop a muscle. Many writers, the ones who actually make money writing, carve out time and space during the day specifically to write. If you’re writing poetry or short stories, I think that’s more of a natural spontaneous process. If you’re writing a book, screenplay or play, you have to have a little more discipline. I use tools such as Evernote to help flesh out ideas and characters. But don’t be afraid of it. No matter how crap you think an idea is, the first draft is not always the last. Allow yourself to experiment. I’m sorry, I went on a rant. But I hope it helps. You can reach out to me. Take care. – Liz (aka Solphia)
